Tumbling Stone is co-sponsored by The Spaceguard Foundation and the NEODyS service. It is dedicated to a better understanding, in the field of Near-Earth-Objects, of the meaning and importance of announcements concerning these bodies, their relationships with our planet, and the degree of hazard they may represent for mankind. We feel that such an information tool is needed for non-specialists.
Tumbling Stone is in fact addressed to everybody, although our main targets are journalists willing to understand more, to follow our activity, and to provide the public with reliable, updated and controlled information. We consider this as an important aspect of the international efforts that are being devoted to NEO studies and will do our best to provide enough basic information to follow the current researches and their probable future developments. The newsletter is published in electronic form and contains articles, columns and links to the most interesting sites on the web, where the reader can find additional information.
